Treehouse: New Online Magazine For Web Aficionados

Particletree has debuted with an edition of Treehouse, a new online magazine for people involved in web design, web development, web marketing, and the like. The first edition is available as a free PDF download, with a $15 subscription for 6 subsequent months.

The “inaugural issue” looks quite promising. I think these guys popped on the scene at the right time given the fact that Design in Flight went quiet all of a sudden. Nevertheless, the first issue went too heavy on interviews of A-List bloggers, in my opinion. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it seems like everybody and his neighbor publishes interviews these days, and interviewees are the same bunch of people time and time again. C’mon, find some hidden talent!

Personally I’d love to see more content focused on technical and business issues this magazine set out to cover. It’s hard to single out what I liked best, but an article by Jonatah Snook, Understanding the Enterprise Mentality, stands out. Also, the DOM Scripting book by Jeremy Keith looks very promising. Jeremy, I’ve put your book on my reading list.
