Stunning Design of Seattle Public Library

If you’re in Seattle for the MVP Summit (or whatever other reason), I strongly recommend a visit to the new Seattle Public Library. I’ve heard good things about its great design, so I decided to see it for myself. You can join a guided tour or wander around with a camera by yourself (which is what I did).

The design is truly amazing. The choice of colors of various rooms is gusty. Not the kind of avant garde you’d expect from a library!

While you’re at it, you might want to stop by the gift shop. I bought Fabulous Fonts there—a deck of 48 cards with samples and history of some of the most popular typefaces. Even the gift shop itself is funky. It’s like an accordion, which collapses for the night into a box! Who knows, you may even want your very own Librarian Action Figure that comes in two colors. :)
